Rain, drought, wind: News for September 2018

Fire was once again a topic of conversation among ordinary people across the globe. Even in Australia where it was winter, dozens of bushfires were making the news simultaneously. Wildfire specialists and climatologists alike, referred the media to the extremely unusual heat and dry by way of explanation, even while one or two uneducated world leaders blamed random things like "too many trees" and "bad water management".

Meanwhile, massive floods continued, with the Indian state of Kerala in the spotlight with hundreds dead and multitudes homeless.
